Our Advice on the Best Type of Gutter for Your Home

Homeowners commonly ask us, "What is the best type of gutter for my home?" At Rosales Gutters, we want to provide alternatives for our clients to choose the best type of gutter that will not only fit their home's structure but also their budget.

We have a specialized gutter machine that allows us to produce aluminum seamless gutters on-site. We acquired this new technology this year intending to create gutters that have the exact measurements of the property. For example, if your home is 52 feet wide, then you will have a single 52-foot-long gutter, no seams, instead of 3 or 4 pieces of gutters put together. Our gutters are printed on-site and measured efficiently and accurately for the best quality, durability, and longevity.

When it comes to style, we do offer 2 different options of gutters, each with its characteristics:

K Style 5" Gutters:

  1. Standard size: these gutters have a standard width of 5 inches, making them suitable for collecting and diverting rainwater very effectively.
  2. Design: the name "K style" is related to the shape of the gutter, which has a flat back and a curved front resembling the letter "K". This design especially helps to increase the gutter's capacity to hold a greater amount of water.
  3. Durability: they are made with highly durable materials such as aluminum, galvanized steel, or vinyl, giving them resistance to corrosion and resilience against harsh weather conditions.
  4. Compatibility: These gutters are compatible with a variety of accessories and downspouts, allowing an easier installation, maintenance, and replacement of small pieces, if need be, of the rainwater drainage system.
  5. Color availability: we offer a large range of colors to choose from and create the perfect aesthetics of your home without price difference!

Primarily used in commercial properties and one of the most common options in standard homes, the five-inch K Style gutter not only offers excellent functionality but also unparalleled durability. These are the most versatile gutters and are suitable for various modern designs and installation in different styles of homes.

Half Round Gutters:

  1. Size: This gutter has a 6-inch diameter and is shallower, with different styles of downspouts available and round pipes ranging from 3 to 4 inches. Its semi-round design allows even greater water capacity.
  2. Design: they offer a distinctive aesthetic feature that adds character to the home. Their semicircular or semi-round shape might look more attractive to some, reflecting a classic charm, especially complementing older homes with vintage visuals.
  3. Durability: these gutters are made from aluminum, galvanized steel, vinyl, or copper. They must be corrosion-resistant materials, especially when exposed to changing weather conditions.
  4. Variety of downspouts: they come with different options for downspouts, including round tubes with different diameters that allow efficient water flow and consistent aesthetic appearance.

These gutters are usually a perfect fit for historical homes because they enhance their timeless appeal. The curved profile and round downspouts integrate seamlessly with traditional architecture, adding character and visual interest.

Now that you know everything about the main characteristics of the two different types of gutter styles we offer, you can make an informed decision considering the aesthetics of your home but also the practicality, quality, and efficiency based on your house’s needs.

At Rosales Gutters, we consider that the most important aspect of such a decision is to invest in a high-quality gutter. With us, you will receive a 20-year gutter warranty.
